An episodic surrealist comedy, loosely based on the books of Gargantua and Pantagruel, by Francois Rabelais, (as in: set in that world and period, strongly informed by its fantastical satiric tone and imagery, but also partly influenced by modern comedy [e.g. Curb Your Enthusiasm/Seinfeld, Monty Python, Father Ted, Soap, World Peace, the shows of Tim Heidecker and friends, etc,] and loosely adapting some of its events, but largely inventing new situations and characters,) in the visual style of Gustave Dore's illustrations for said books, (the watercolors specifically,) all entirely rendered in a combination of puppetry, stop motion, and some live action elements.
