Do you think there will ever be a movie made about the MH 370 disappearance?
If so when? Will you want to see it?
shareIf so when? Will you want to see it?
shareYes and yes. Or at least a comprehensive documentary.
shareThere is no end to the story, since no one is certain what happened. How do you think they could make a movie about it?
shareThey've never found out with absolute certainty if the escaped Alcatraz prisoners made it for sure, but they still made a movie. Look how many Jack The Ripper shows have been made despite not knowing for sure who he was.
shareThis seems to be the latest documentary about it. If I remember correctly it focused more on the search of the aircraft than probable cause.

Thanks!
shareI'd watch it, It'll probably be a made for TV thing though. James Hong to play the captain.
sharethey don't know the ending but i believe the pilot brought in down.
shareI don't think so because there's no conclusion.
shareWell, it's looking like the plane ended up in the Indian ocean. They have found a few parts of it.
shareBut still no clue on why or how. You can't make a film from so little source story, except you do 99% fiction. Then why MH370? At this rate, just make it all 100% fiction. And add world-ending nuclear threat, a kick ass protagonist, time travel and alien zombies to make it more exciting.
shareIt would be in extremely poor taste, the wounds of the relatives of those that died are too fresh and will be for a long time
No big budget movie studio will touch that. There are a few exceptions, but a general rule of thumb is not to profit off of a real life tragedy. (Titanic)
We make movies based off real wars, 911, crimes, etc... I'm not sure where this rule is applied.
shareIt is tricky.
Wars, serial killers seem to be mostly socially acceptable to profit from from media. Usually twenty years or so have passed.
9/11 movie that was made 'Lets Roll' was done in a way to acknowledge the heroes who took action. So that is OK.
A movie about a plane downing is in bad form. A movie about the tysunami in Japan that killed 20,000 is in REALLY bad form
Remember that Hollywood wants to make a profit from it's movies. It would show a certain amount of insensitivity and callousness to the survivors and families of loved ones that have been killed if they disregard their emotions and went ahead and made a real world disaster movie.
How would you feel is you lost your beloved wife of 20 years in a plane crash and one year later Hollywood made a 100 million dollar profit from it?
I suspect some muslim action was at play.
Thus, you will not hear about it.
