I love onions (but only in other food. hate them by themselves)

No I don’t like onions, but my taste includes both snails and oysters.

I love onions, and garlic.

A nice slice of raw onion on a burger is great and the burger would be poorer without it according to my taste buds, but that's the only way I can think of offhand that I like raw. Well, diced and used as a topping for chilli is good too.

I keep wanting to make French Onion Soup at home, but no supermarket I ever go to sells French Onions!

Oh OK I meant raw onions.

Even though the point of eating sautéed onions all by themselves escapes me, I'm not totally against it.
