Can you use it to watch movies for free or that you can’t find otherwise? How do I do this?

You can just download apps that let you watch "shared" movies onto the stick.

Here's a list of free movie apps. I use a few of them but you have to put up with ads. I watched "Against All Odds" last night on Tubi.

You mean "pirated" movies, not "free" old movie, correct?

Stremio is an app that has all kinds of stuff.

There's quite a few sites out there where you can stream new films and almost any tv show there ever was..and I don't mean downloading torrents.

I'm familiar with them. The problem is that you have to keep getting them "updated". Similar to the satellite "cards" you could get jailbroken back in the day.
