Do you guys think we find an actor/actress hot because of a character they portray ?

I do I think happens a lot.
I think the main reason I was attracted to RDJ it’s because of his portrayal of Iron Man. Very manly, funny and super confident attitude.

Plus every time he was in the character was super in shape with his perfect manicured beard.

He is also very attractive outside of the character but I think of him as Iron Man/Tony Stark and I think there is nothing sexier.
The film he looked at his sexiest was Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3.

Catherine Keener was hot as fuck as Maxine in Being John Malkovich, but I haven't been that attracted to her in anything else.

Billy Bob Thornton in Monsters Ball, something about his character that was attractive and he looks great in the sack in that love scene lol

Heaps of times. I liked Eliza Dushku because of Faith on Buffy but never got the same appeal from anything else she did.

G Paltrow was only ever hot in the Iron Man films whereas in anything else I was mostly indifferent.

Back when I saw Truth About Cats & Dogs in the theater, I developed a huge crush on Janeane Garafalo. Several years later she came to perform standup in Atlantic City and I went. I was totally repulsed by her act. Did a little more research to see what type of person she actually was. Result: Crush no longer.

Seems to be very angry at the world in general and in real life talks more like her stand up than she did in the movie.

I always thought that if you find a character in a movie very attractive, it's not the actress who you really like. It's the writer.

By the way, I just check out of curiosity, and the woman who wrote Truth About Cats and Dogs script died one year ago of cancer.

Janeane is so much hotter than Uma in that film. I love the scene where she is modeling for him. How can he still look at skinny, average Uma?

But yeah, I agree, once I realized what she was really like and also noticed that her other characters lacked warmth and charm I was gone.

I don't find Brie Larson that hot, but she is smoking hot in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

Samantha Mathis - I have only ever found her attractive in "Pump Up The Volume" it was her darker hair in that film but also her character.
