Thoughts on this years Oscars?

I think the nominations this year are actually really good for the most part. In fact, every film that I predicted would be nominated for best picture in it being actually predicted with the exception of Jojo Rabbit, which was nominated instead of A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood.

Last year‘s Oscars were hilariously bad and still are. Only three of the films that I predicted we get a best picture nomination actually got nominated.

I’m mostly pleased with the nominations. I thought Frozen 2 deserved a best animated feature nomination. I have seen 7 of the 9 best picture nominees and liked them all.

Outside of Joker which I really think was great I was highly disappointed.

I wanted so bad Knives Out and Ford V Ferrari to dominate the nominations they were my favorite Oscar style movies of the year.

I had 4 films I really loved this year.

Two blockbusters and two Oscar ish movies.

My two blockbusters were Aladdin and Avengers Endgame and my Oscar ish films were Knives out and Ford V Ferrari.

I love the nominations this year! Best group of films I’ve seen nominated in a long time.

I’m especially excited about Best Supporting Actor this year! Look at that lineup! Man, give me a better year of collective talent for that category. Phenomenal.

Still unfortunately won’t watch the actual show because of the lectures and “lessons” given by everyone who comes on stage to accept an award, but I will definitely be keeping tabs on who wins.
