Better actor: Pacino or De Niro
Discuss
shareTough one. Younger versions I'd go with De Niro who's work I liked more. Later in life I have a new appreciation for Pacino, particularly some of the biopics he's done playing Jack Kevorkian and Joe Paterno. A lot of De Niro's later stuff seems to be him having fun (which I also appreciate because he's earned the right to kick back even if it means he's making movies like Dirty Grandpa). All this said I haven't seen The Irishman yet. Such a close call but overall there is something about De Niro that I've always just liked.
EDIT TO ADD: Although if I had to pick the worst movie of their collective careers it would have to be Al Pacino in Adam Sandler's Jack and Jill.
De Niro, by a nose.

shareBobby D. Young Pacino was great but now he just yells every line.

shareI couldn't rate one over the other. While watching any of their performances I forget about them as actors and totally buy into their characters.
shareDe Niro. Both are excellent actors.
