Roger Ebert STILL Giving Reviews?
Years after, they're still using his name to distort and mislead... How can he rate a movie he's never seen? This world is one big fraud.

Dear Abby is also still writing columns
shareThat just seems to be a gaffe in data scraping. The page is pulling the review score straight from rogerebert.com, which in addition to Ebert's self-written archived reviews also publishes new columns from a wide array of featured film critics. It's the score on the website, not necessarily a review written by the late, great man himself.

There's no intent to mislead. You can clearly read that the review was written by Matt Zoller Seitz.
I'd bet 99% of people just see the name "Roger Ebert" off that Google search and decide then and there after seeing 3/4... I highly doubt they're going to question and ponder, "Maybe someone else wrote this?".. They should have had the name "Matt Zoller Seitz" under that score, but they know it wouldn't sell shit. So this is marketing, not a movie Ebert liked. Maybe he'd hate it!
Maybe this is the way people have become, beyond cynical, beyond greed, no reverence for truth.
HEY DUM DUM...WHEN YOU SHOP AT WAL MART,DO YOU EXPECT SAM WALTON TO BE YOUR CASHIER?...ROGEREBERT.COM IS A RESOURCE STARTED AND MANAGED BY EBERT AND CARRIED ON(AS WERE HIS WISHES) AFTER HIS DEATH.EVEN WHEN HE WAS ALIVE HE EMPLOYED STAFF WHO WROTE A NUMBER OF REVIEWS AND DID THE SITE MAINTENCE AND UPKEEP.
shareYou are too stupid to understand a damn thing.
Fuck you and your caps.
LMAO....EVERYTHING I SAID IS TRUE.EVERYTHING YOU SAID WAS SPECULATION AND ASSUMPTION.
shareI doubt you even know you to read.
shareTRY READING YOUR OWN COMMENT, LAVAR BURTON.
shareTry learning how to read.
shareI THINK IT MIGHT BE THE DULL REPETITIVENESS THAT MAKES YOU SO AMUSING.
shareEat shit.

Not only didn't you make any sense, but you have awful grammar to CAPITALIZE EVERY INSIGNIFICANT LETTER.
THAT IS A WEAK,AWKWARD REPLY...TRY TAKING A FEW MINUTES AND THINKING ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY BEFORE TYPING IT OUT...SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF EMBARRASSMENT.

shareImagine if scientists in the future bring people back to life just to get a movie review from them.
shareI have his book of movie reviews. I always check it.
shareI OWN EVERY VOLUME...1989 THROUGH 2013,PLUS THE THREE BOOKS OF REVIEWS FOR FILMS HE HATED....I BOUGHT THEM ONE AT A TIME AND READ THEM LIKE NOVELS.
shareI still enjoy rereading his reviews, I thought he was fair and reasonable and had a good eye for flaws
He was a bit harsh on many horror films but I appreciated the guy
Sad day when he died
I ENJOY HIS REVIEWS ON FILMS HE DISLIKED BUT I LIKE.THEY HELP ILLUSTRATE EXACTLY WHY I LIKE THE FLICK.
shareIt sounds like fraud to me.
shareRead my initial response. The review score is pulled from rogerebert.com, which in addition to hosting Ebert's archived articles also publishes current film reviews and essays from a staff of contemporary critics. All of the linked articles clearly credit the individual author.
Having to clarify this to people is tantamount to explaining to someone that there is no such person as Mister Rottentomatoes.
Good eye.
shareThe website probably employs a number of people - film student grads and such I see nothing wrong with it.

Robert Ludlum is still writing novels decades after he died
