I liked the log flume and river caves at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. You could go round and round on them with the hip flask at hand. They've both been replaced now though I was reading.
shareThe Wild Mouse was the best ride they had there. Guaranteed to scare the pants off you as you are hurled around those bends and you are convinced the carriage will go flying off the rail.
I once made the mistake of sitting behind someone in a carriage. I've never felt so battered and bruised by anything else.

Sadly they took it down last year to make room for a more modern ride.

I would so love for these rides to have been real though...

I remember the wild mouse and those corners were truly terrifying. There was one at Frontierland in Morecambe as well that had you almost shitting your trouser for the same reason.
shareThat one was moved to Southport and renamed King Solomon's Mines, until it was closed in 2006. https://rcdb.com/877.htm
It then was moved to Margate, which was also closed but then reopened a few years later, hosting many donated and restored rides from other fairgrounds. Not all have been restored though. I think it's one of them as it's not listed as a current ride.
I don't remember much about the one in Morecambe though I did visit it when I was very small. I do remember a few years ago I drove past the place which had been closed for some years and left derelict and all you could see was the Polo tower.
Yep it's just wasteland now. The Polo tower still stands though as it's used as a Vodafone transmitter now.
shareOld School, simple but effective, especially the first drop.

Wooden coasters are classic! Love the sound of them.
shareI really dislike roller coasters or anything with a sharp drop, its not fun, it just makes me feel sick. I lived near Disneyland and Magic mountain growing up, but didn't ride the roller coasters until I was maybe 14. I'm going with teacups ride, the side to side swing motion doesn't bother me.
shareThe Teacups are great! I know not everyone likes spinning rides but I love them. I like to grab the disk in the middle and make them spin faster.
shareSome of these rides look like Astronaut training machines
No thanks🥴🤢🤮
Ferris wheel
shareI loved the Waltzer when I was a kid.
