I haven't seen many films released this year. What are some of the best for me to check out?

Avengers, Spider Man, Aladdin, Lion King.......
Every movie I have seen this year has been a marvel sequel or a Pixar remake, and none were worth recommending. If you find anything good, let me know.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

i just saw my 50th movie of the year so far this weekend.
i don't know your taste of course, & you may think the things i like are complete balderdash, but my favourites of the year are:

climax
apollo 11
endgame
once upon a time in the west
midsommar
under the silver lake
dragged across concrete
high life
relaxer
spider-man

if you're in north america, you should be able to see dragged across concrete on hoopla, & relaxer is available on kanopy.

if you like b-level horror, crawl is a fun, very entertaining woman vs alligator story that's in the theatres right now.

if you fancy action, triple threat on netflix is ok. it features the great iko uwais, but i'd say it's nowhere close to being as great as the raid films or the night comes for us.

I haven't seen as many as some here, but other than Apollo 11, not much

I'm hoping for a much better 2nd half of 2019 with...

The Lighthouse

Motherless Brooklyn
Uncut Gems
Parasite

and Lucy in the Sky -- but I don't see that in upcoming Fall festivals.
