I will never understand their insane popularity. Every time I go there there is a line. Their meat is gristly and chewy and overall the flavor is bland, very small menu and horribly overpriced. I’ll take Penn Station any day.
I've never gone there...the problem that most Mexican joints can't overcome is that the ingredients are readily available and it's all a cinch to cook at home...it's often better from your own kitchen...I love Mexican but it's really all so easy why pay some guy to prepare it?
I'm being serious here, but I wonder if some people's digestion can be completely unprepared for some foods that other people have no problem with. (I did have actual food poisoning once, but that was a different issue.) However, certain foods like biscuits and gravy will reliably send me to the bathroom. Heck, just yesterday I made myself a cheap brat/sausage/dog with ketch/must/relish, and later I could tell something must be too old, probably the relish. I should go through all my condiments and get rid of anything that's old. That stuff will stay for a long time, but I rarely empty a container in a reasonable period.
Yeah, I actually like Taco Bell. Not going to claim it's Mexican Cuisine at it's height, but it's fairly inexpensive and they have a lot of different things to choose from, crunchy to savory. Fast comfort food, and not another cheeseburger.
