OMG I love the violin!! took lessons when I was about 10, after having had piano lessons, which didn't thrill me at all.....but the violin? INCREDIBLE INSTRUMENT......and for me the most beautiful one!!! (next to the human voice, if you wanna call our voice 'an instrument', which in a way it is!!)

So I hope you like the violin and that you keep it up!!! it will bring much joy to your life!!!

sad to say I stopped, you know how kids can be.....lol........but you? DON'T STOP.....KEEP IT UP!!!

Ha ha! Yea, I almost quit music and singing altogether.

I know what you mean about secondary instruments to the piano. I wonder if it makes it easier than if you did nothing.
