What is the name of this film?

Ok, so I remember watching part if a film once but I can't remember the film title or any of the actors names.

But what I do remember is this.

The movie was in B&W so I suspect that it was made in the 1940's or 50's.

The films plot was set in occupied Europe during WWII

The story was about a conman who was taking money off Jews in return for helping them escape Europe from the Nazis. But he was actually drugging them and then dumping their bodies in lime. This conman might have had a beard but I'm not 100% sure.

If anybody could help me with the name of this film that would be awesome! Thanks :)

But there are far fewer eyes on it. The ability to cross-post threads to more than one board would be a nice site enhancement.

I share your amazement. I've worked the Google as best as I know how for the last two years and have never once been able to answer one of these.

Apparently there is a skill involved in working Google. Sometimes I'm brilliant at it. Other times I get absolutely nowhere. Sheesh.
