Does anyone use Kratom?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitragyna_speciosa#Traditional_use

I ordered some of the red veined variety online to see if it has any effect on pain issues that I sometimes deal with. I can't take Ibuprofen for reasons I'd like not to mention and Acetaminophen does absolutely nothing for me. From what I've read, its a pretty safe substance if used responsibly.

I can't take ibuprofen.. It rips my stomach apart. My cousin used to take Kratom for pain, so I tried it. Tasted so awful and chalky, felt a little pain relief, with a little bit of caffeine (probably ginseng, since I know it all comes from Thailand, where its now banned).. I do remember waking up and being very sweaty, and my cousin said the same. I drank it one more time, and pretty much the same thing. Its akin to licking a Vicodin. It must mean it was dying to get out of my body. About 90% of the stuff my doc gives me has acetaminophen, but I'm sure its the hydrocodone. And it works.

My problem are migraines post-orgasmus (latin!).. Day 4, not too bad, but still sucks, even with the help of painkillers.

To avoid having to drink the stuff, I used my supplement machine to fill capsules with. Roughly 1 ounce filled 100 capsules.
Do you know what variety and dose you took? Apparently, the white, green and yellow are more uplifting with a stimulant effect and the red is more sedating and appropriate for pain.
Thanks for the feedback!

It's been almost 2 years.. If it was effective for me, believe me, I would have gone to my local GNC.

Are you saying you get migraines after sex or watching porn? Damn! If so, the libido would wither on the vine! I used to get severe, very severe vertigo afterwards which cooled things off. I thought I had it bad with migraines due to barometer changes, bleach odors, raw onions, candle shops, perfume, etc. I have daily migraines. Have you tried Sumatriptan (generic for Imitrex). I take 100 MG which is now causing my BP to rise due to age. Also, there are some beta-blockers used for migraines. Botox has had good results.

I also have found and did research to back my thinking, lying prone will make migraines worse. It’s best to take your med and sit in a recliner in a darkened room. Drink a strong cup of coffee with caffeine. I have had migraines so severe that literally slamming my head on my countertop over road the migraine! I have HHT. When I start getting 24/7 severe migraines it’s usually a precursor to a severe bleed. I’ve had 3 embolizations for the posterior bleeds. It’s a 24hr out-patient procedure. The next to the last one I had resulted in such a severe migraine during which the nurse caught me ramming my head against the bed rails. They wouldn’t listen to me when I told them another bleed was coming. They ignored me until I started hemorrhaging....which resulted in me going back into surgery! Sorry for the verbose reply...just attempting to assist you.

What about Aspirin ??

or Tylenol?

reply

Tylenol is just a brand name for Acetaminophen.

reply

Can't take NSAID's.

reply

I get it.

If it's an option, a strong CBD oil will help.

It will need about a 50 50 ratio with THC to be effective though. CBD alone is mostly for inflammation.

I made an infused olive oil a while back at 2:1 CBD/THC. I still have a couple dropper bottles in the freezer, but the stuff hits hard, even with all that CBD in it.
