How is a man worth $800 million dollars like Tiger Woods making a comeback?

When you have more money than God I think personally it's a little ridiculous to say you've made a comeback even if you have been "struggling" in your occupation of choice as of late.

And people are happy about Wood's victory. This guy has more money than most of these people will have in a million life times and yet they're so pleased for this near-billionaires' success at the Masters.

Please.

The same goes for Tom Brady and many others.

It just comes a point for me that when you have that much wealth I can't relate or take pleasure in your victories anymore.

But that's great Tiger. I'm sure this victory will put you into the billionaire's club. Good for you.

I don't think a guy's ambitions should be tied in with his wealth
I'm not a golf fan and have a low opinion of Tiger due to his ridiculous and disgusting behavior as a husband but I do admire a person that falls on their ass, gets back up and keeps on trucking

To be clear, Tiger Woods seems like a dirty adulterous asshat, but I do like the 'no quit' attitude

reply

I love 'no quit' attitudes as much as the next person. But a 'no quit' attitude is a little harder to cheer for when it comes from a dirty adulterous asshat with $800 million dollars (well, probably much, much more after this victory).

reply

I agree he's a huge jerk, not the sort you'd want to have a beer and a chat with
Maybe I just see too many broke and lazy men around the city that I admire a person that gets a kick in the belly and keeps going
Quitters are losers, quitting is a disagreeable behavior

As to his enormous fortune, I only wish I could make a tiny ball go where I want it to with a curved stick!
I tried Golf and I was simply awful, I could have hurt someone!

It does make for an interesting story though
Most of us wrote Tiger off years ago, figured he was finished...
That he is not finished makes for an interesting narrative
He is a jerk though...

There are so many better people in this world who get kicked in the belly and refuse to quit than Tiger Woods. I guess that's my point. And those peoples' stories will never see the light of day because they can't make a tiny ball go where they want it to and have a net worth nowhere near a billion dollars. I guess what I'm trying to say is our country needs to get its priorities straight and worship someone other than Woods (whose 'no quit' attitude has already been awarded plenty of times).

reply

Agreed
There are way better people to admire

reply

My wife calls him smarmy.

reply

Smarmy is fitting
Asshole is probably pretty fitting too

reply

Only in golf could a broken down 43 year old win something (may be curling or darts).

reply

Indeed.
