Can someone sum up everything that happens in the Bible...

...in one easy to understand post? It will save me from having to read it and understand the old English.

You can read it in "new English".

God decides to plant a tree with a poisonous fruit because he is a troll and after that everything jumps the shark. The part where they wander around and look for the same town for 40 years is hilarious though. The worst example of sense of direction in written history.

reply

Won't be using it as a compass.

reply

Good advice.

You know what the "forbidden apple" was, don't you?

reply

Suppose so.

reply

The butler did it.

Big Bang!
Life
Lots of death
A pregnant lady tells her hubby the baby belongs to God and he falls for it (what a maroon)
The Jesus magic show
More death
Revelations (apocalyptic levels of death)
Happy ending
Roll credits
Post credits scene - approximately 2000 years of war on the back of people saying, “my God’s bigger than yours.”

I love Life of Brian.

There's tons of begatting by a lot of names in the beginning. I never got past that part 😔

Mmm hm.

reply

There's a beginning with a few days mentioned, This main character becomes well known, He's betrayed. Makes a comeback of sorts. A bit like Rocky V (1990).

reply

The bible’s a bit like Rocky V - classic!

reply

It's not bad but Rocky II is the true good book.

reply

Right, so Rocky II Old Testament, Rocky V New Testament.

reply

That's how me and the Bishop feel about it. There's not much belief now though. Keep the faith

reply

Where does Creed fit into this analogy?

reply

People suck.

reply

And then you die
Perfect ending, huh??

reply

"People suck."

Which, depending on context, could be a good thing ;)

reply

I didn't need The Bible to figure that out.

reply

we're not all bad.

reply

Speak for yourself.
