Thanks. I've always considered those two as one movie, so I cheated a little. I think they're both excellent. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's the only case in history of a film and its sequel winning the Best Picture Oscar.

shareYes, Frank Perry is one of my favorite directors. Another great one is Last Summer (1969) which was Richard Thomas' debut. Also The Swimmer (1968) which was Burt Lancaster's personal fave. Kubrick cast Keir Dullea in 2001 based on his role in David and Lisa!
shareI saw "Last Summer", which I liked, but it was hard seeing everyone take advantage of the poor defenseless girl. By the time he hit "Diary of a Mad Housewife" it seemed to be over, and the few movies later (one with Keach and Dunaway) was one I couldn't get into.
Its hard to find online, but "Ladybug, Ladybug" is a great movie, from the perspective of children during the Nuclear Era.
