shareI know its one of Clint Eastwood´s favourite movies. You have a point, I think its under-appreciated , you never see it on any top 10 westerns list, I think maybe because it doesn´t tick all the boxes with fitting in with the Western genre. I think it was unlucky it had to battle Casablanca for the Oscar otherwise it might have been remembered better.
