Opinions on "Long John Silver's"?

Dude... it’s all about the hush puppies.

It depends on the location.

If you go to one where they give you a number and you wait while they cook your food, it's great. You get it piping hot right out of the fryer.

If you go to one where the food is pre-made, it's flaming garbage.

I believe "Long John Silvers" is seafood for Black people. If you want to eat good seafood you go to a high end Italian restaurant.

I ate their once, never again.

The horrible grease-saturated batter on the fish was 4x as deep as the pathetic little scrap of fish inside, and it tasted foul. Like the grease in the fryer had been there for days or weeks.

I'd say LJS is pretty much the same as Skipper's. We don't have either in my end of town anymore, (heck, even the Burger King closed recently, that surprised me). I didn't mind going there for some variety, but it's not exactly good food. What's sorta funny is there is a Hawaiian restaurant that used to be one of those places, and to this day there is still a huge anchor outside the building sticking up out of the ground. I guess no one wanted to spend the $$ to get rid of it, haha. Practically a landmark.
