(SOLVED) Help finding a specific office comedy TV-show

Hello, I saw a couple of episodes of a (British?) TV-show (probably 15-20 years ago). It took place in an office setting (unfortunately, since "The Office" came out, that's the only hits I get when searching...).

Every episode was about this main guy that messed up in some way, but always got away with it in the end (every episode was self contained).

No, I'm afraid not. There was focus on a single person, not a team. Sure, there was a boss, and a pissed off coworker that always tried to put him in his place, and a few other people. But all in all, you got to follow the main character...

or did you see this character at home as well?

There was a British comedy called The Office starting in 2002.

That's the show that I mentioned in my first post. That's unfortunately not it, but it's famous enough that it will popup in every search on the net.
