Toxic Masculinity versus Xenoestrogen
If you believe masculinity is toxic, there's a good chance you are suffering from the depressive effects of xenoestrogen. Xenoestrogens are female hormones that come from pollution in the environment. They come from plastic like Bisphenol-A, birth control pills, other pharmaceutical drugs, and industrial waste. This is the stuff that ends up in the rivers and streams and turns frogs transgender. It makes humans obese and moody. There's a lot more of it now than there used to be. Testosterone does the opposite. It makes you lean, muscular, and happy. Testosterone levels are at all time historical lows. Doctors don't prescribe HRT for men. Steroids are outlawed. And xenoestrogenic pollution acts as an antagonist.
So why is toxic masculinity just now being discovered, when it's less of a problem than it's ever been? That's a strange coincidence. It's kind of like how psychiatry chooses to focus on anorexia and eating disorders at a time when 75% of the population is overweight. We ought to be fat shaming the heck out of ourselves. Shame is known to psychiatrists as the number one most powerful motivator. That's why we use it against masculinists.
