reply

He is stalking you😱

reply

He called me hawksaw jim duggen

reply

Hi. You have the dignity of self knowledge. Better to have that than the dignity of having a wife but wishing you were single.

reply

Thank you! I appreciate that very much!!

reply

I’m here to help.

My wife is a super serious lady. She's not fond of any ridiculous comedy and spoof movies.

Space Balls
Shaun of the Dead
Superbad
Scary Movie
Tropic Thunder
Borat
Police Academy
Meet the Spartans
etc.

reply

Those are some good ones

reply

Her favorite movies are the super serious no joking matter based on (probably) true story movies that devoid of any low-brow humor and imagination, like...

Munich
The King's Speech
Passion of the Christ
Captain Philips
Shawshank Redemption
etc.

But surprisingly also serious (non comedic) zombie movies like...

World War Z
28 Days Later
Train to Busan
Lost City of Z
etc.

Because she thinks zombie apocalypse is somewhat plausible. Moreso than witches, vampires (sparkling or otherwise), silly aliens and wars in space.

I wish I could answer this question but I can't since I'm not married. I'll just replace wife with brother.

The Strangers (2008)
The Birds (1963)

reply

😂👍

reply

My spouse (not husband, we're not married) hates horror. I end going to the cinema alone to get my horror fix

reply

A spouse is a term to denote specifically a husband or wife. If you're not married you don't have a spouse you have a partner.

reply

Well I've tried using that term on here before and people don't know what the hell I'm talking about

reply

Companion? Significant other? Main Squeeze?

reply

Ball and chain

reply

Boyfriend or simply bf should be fine.

reply

I'm not calling the man I've lived with for 27 years my boyfriend

reply

I find going to movies alone relaxing

reply

Pretty much any horror movie
I made the mistake of showing my wife The Descent because I thought it was amazing...it scared her
She was mad at me afterward so I just watch horror by myself now

reply

I am lucky...wife loves horror👍

reply

I have tried to trick my wife a number of times to watch The Exorcist. It never works.

reply

I took my wife to see the re release of the exorcist...she thought it was so so...??? To be fair...she was raised without any religious influence...so the devil doesn't scare her.

reply

My dad grew up in the Pentecostal church and always told me that "The Omen" was scarier for people who grew up with that.

reply

My ex was a horror fan and watch almost exclusively horror movies with a sprinkle of rom com sometimes, but I think 9 / 10 it's horror. She has to see any horror movie showings regardless of quality.

I hate horror movies.

reply

Brazil, the philistine.

Never been lucky enough to elope with a life partner, but I remember a few instances wherein my significant other at the time voiced a harsh opinion about a movie selection.

La La Land. The person I was dating at the time flipped out and launched into a verbal tirade of personal attacks as the end credits rolled. Granted, she was not the most stable or mild-tempered person to begin with.

Several years prior, a lady I was with at the time experienced a panic attack while we were watching the first Silent Hill movie. Afterwards even she thought it was strange because she fancied herself a thick-skinned horror aficionado.

reply

Sorry to hear you don't have a permadate for all the flicks you watch fred...but keep up the dating game...you're a cool dude...you'll find her!

Funny...yours is the second story of a failed la la land date I've heard😂 I need to watch silent hill!

reply

Thanks for the positivity, DF.

For some reason, La La Land is a very contentious movie. I showed it to my brother a while back, and we got into two separate arguments in the same night after watching it.

reply

Not married but I once destroyed a relationship that had been going on about 6 months by making a girl watch Dario Argento's "Inferno" https://moviechat.org/tt0080923/Inferno. We didn't break up right away, but things were different after that. I think she realized what kind of person I am. This was also before I landed myself in the loony bin.

reply

that would end most relationships Moose. 🙂🙂🙂🙂
