Why do celebrities give themselves so many awards?

We know the millitary loves awards because honor is much cheaper than higher wages. Yet even the millitary and police even more so do not give nearly as many, for people who get injured and die for very low pay. Scientists seem to be trying to copy celebrities with their endless alphabet soup organizations, but celebrities are still on a whole other level.

Celebrities already get very high pay without really doing anything. Female celebrities especially because most female roles are just eye candy. There are a million young girls waiting in line to take their place, but they don't have the luck, family connections, or willingness to have sex with ugly old Jewish perverts.

I think the reason for the awards is that celebrities know they don't deserve their fame. They should be waiting tables or picking trash. So they have to be constantly reassured of their greatness exactly in proportion to how ungreatful they are. Many are so unfit for the job they become suicidal like Health Ledger or Philip Seymour Hoffman.

I can't wait until actors are replaced by CGI.
