OT For someone who cooks


I see many recipes that call for chopped parsley. I've only used this as a garnish. Does this make it taste different?

I use flat leaf or Italian parsley in many dishes and it definitely alters the flavor. I've never used the curly stuff except as a garnish.

I've been to restaurants that use it as a garnish. Not particularly tasty, so why bother.

I grow parsley in the summer. It adds a very tasty flavor to a dish. In stew, pasta sauce, sprinkled on cut potatoes, add sea salt and black pepper then roast- yum!
