What do you think about a "Lost Horizon" remake?

Based on the 1937 film?

reply

I would watch it.

They made a remake in 1973. It’s been done already. Also The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was more or less a remake. We don’t need freaking remakes. We need things that are new.

I've never seen the 73 version, but its a musical and I'm pretty sure it bombed. I'm on the fence when it comes to remakes, sometimes its a travesty to the original movie and other times it works. Off the top of my head, "Scarface" is a good example of one that worked.

I saw the original for the first time about 6 months ago and thought it was well done. The remake is a musical ?? I won't be watching.

Columbia Pictures lost $51 million on Lost Horizon (73) and its heavily covered in Mike Medveds 'The 50 Worst Films of All Time'

Id say you chose the right version to watch
