Sequels that don't require viewing the original


Maybe the first one is great, but understanding the story is not dependent on being familiar with the original.

T2 is a solid example of this. I'm pretty sure I saw T2 first and I was not lost at all. Then when I saw The Terminator it was awesome to see all the events that precipitated the events of the second movie. What do you think? Others?

Very true, I only rarely would voluntarily screen that one though. Definietely not my fav.

I love both Batman Returns and First Blood Part II, and yeah, don't have to see the original for either one.

That's a good call! Is the same true for crusade? Who cares about crystal skull...it was balls😡

Crusade was set in the late 50s and yep, it was a bit of a letdown after the others
I still enjoyed much of it but it wasnt nearly as good...it was pretty silly
