We'll see how this goes. I think it is part of a long game trolling session personally.
He just couldn't keep his eye on the ball well enough because he underestimated those watching.
He surely did underestimate how upsetting it would be for him to tell people he killed his dog with an axe.
True or untrue it's a bit fucked up.
I think he knew very well how people would react and maybe had some assistance getting it to where it is now.
