Most heroic fictional character?
First few that came to my mind are:
Lloyd Irving of Tales of Symphonia
Christopher Johnson of District 9
There could be others who are more heroic, but I can't think of 'em yet.

I second Shogun's answer: Samwise. To me he epitomizes heroism.
shareObiwan Kenobi. There may be others equally heroic; he’s the first that came to mind. It is one thing to risk one’s life. It is quite another to sacrifice oneself passively, for the greater good, especially when the hero/ine truly is a fighter. It must be divine-level hard to do. I hope never to find out.
shareJon Snow, also the most stupid. And Daenerys Targaryen, eating an entire horses heart, raw...
Superman
shareCaptain America
shareVirgil Tibbs from In the Heat of the Night (1967)
shareHenry Drummond from Inherit the Wind (1960)
shareAragorn II, Son of Arathorn. Actually, I find most people who are willing to sacrifice themselves so that others may succeed in a noble and just cause is pretty heroic, especially when the likelihood of success is small. Aragorn just seems to epitomize that.
shareWill Kane from High Noon (1952)
