The hollywood reporter.com disables comments on articles.

Following ESPN ........ LOL..... classic hollywood libs. When the users and readers don't agree with everything you write, you use censorship to try and silence people.

First thing I do is scroll to the bottom of every article I plan to read. If there's no comments section, I don't read it.

reply

Why?

reply

because you like to give your input and opinion to the article at hand. And not just be a puppet that reads and believes everything a journalist writes.

reply

"Journalist."

reply

I like to hear more than one side to every story and don't just take the first thing I read as gospel. If the article is full of garbage and lies, how will I know if they censor the comments section to allow me to find that out? Or at the very least through them find sources of counterpoints where I can make an informed opinion of my own? Especially in the current climate of heavily biased and agenda driven media.

So I assume that the article is bollocks and the no comments is a way to remove proof that the article is bollocks.

A bit like Anita Sarkeesian on You Tube.

reply

Of course they did

there is a trend.
