Stonekeeper's Summer Game: I recommend THIS Mystery Movie #36: No More Dirty Tricks [hownos wins with RIO BRAVO!]

How about we just keep this train going? The rules for new people:

So you guys like to play games? Here is an investigation game that can be time consuming but it's lots of fun. Basically, I have a movie in mind and you have to guess which one it is. For each movie you guys are going to guess, I will give a hint that CONNECTS your guess with the movie I have in mind.

Example of connections: Actor, length, genre, aspect ratio, language, country, year, director, writer in common, rating, number of votes, nominations. It can even be something like: both movies involve a girl being murdered.

- The winner can either start a new game or say "pass". In case of a pass, the OP gets to start another one.
- After 12 hints, the point goes to the OP and he gets to start another one.

Let's get it on!

Hint 1: The Sting (1973) - 8.0 or higher on IMDB.
Hint 2: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988) - Nominated for at least one Golden Globe.
Hint 3: The Hustler (1961) - Runtime over 2 hours long.
Hint 4: The Green Mile (1999) - The director has been nominated for at least one Oscar, and the lead actor also has won at least one Oscar.
Hint 5: The Shawshank Redemption (1994) - Based on a previously published work of literature.
Hint 6: Anatomy of a Murder (1959) - Released in 1959.
Hint 7: Ben-Hur (1959) - The lead actors of this guess and the mystery film both appeared in The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965).

Looks like hownos takes another point with the correct answer, Rio Bravo (1959).

Your eyes are full of hints, 41. That's good. Hints keeps a man alive. They give him strength.

We have a winner!

Yes, it's Rio Bravo - a personal favorite in the Duke's oeuvre. Despite its steady pacing at almost 150 minutes, the story never seems to drag due in part to a constant through line of tension and a great supporting cast. Dean Martin plays an extremely convincing drunk, Ricky Nelson looks so thoroughly out of his depth that you can see his hopes and dreams die before your very eyes, and nearly every line out of Walt Brennan makes me laugh no matter how many times I see this film. I don't often hear it mentioned amongst the all-time great westerns, but in my book this classic is hard to top.
