What if Creationism and Darwinism are both correct?

It is conceivable that God allowed life to evolve on Earth and then life collapsed in darkness as "sin" entered the world. If you read the book of Genesis its quite surreal. It's a origin story of the first people on earth, the family names, the nations their descendants would give rise to. Some have even interpreted certain parts as the origin story of different racial groups.

What makes it "surreal"?

It's entirely fictional. There were no humans that lived for 1000 years at a time that just appeared out of nowhere. Our human ancestors descended from their non-human ancestors themselves.

reply

In the sense that the characters are the alleged ancestors of various modern nations, and ethnic groups.

reply

But it's certainly not the way it really happened. There was not one nice, neat atomic family from which each offspring set off to breed between each other to create their own ethnic groups. The very concept is pretty silly.

reply

People have been banging family members since the beginning. Realistically that probably IS how it happened.

reply

Say what? That's not even the biggest problem with your theory. It just didn't happen that way.

Only about 70,000 years ago organisms that belonged to the species known as Homo Sapiens started to form even more elaborate structures known as cultures. The subsequent development of these cultures is known as history. But mass migration had already kicked off long before humans began forming these cultures.
