The shock that haunts you still

What murderous or otherwise shocking film scene imprinted permanently on your mind?

For me it's the scene from Halloween 5 when the couple is murdered in the barn by Michael, while having sex, with a pitchfork and scythe. You can see the prongs coming through the guy and it's horrifying. It's stayed with me, I watch it fairly regularly, it being one of my favorite trashy sequels, but it never stops shocking me even though I know it's coming. Janet Leigh in the shower shocks me, but I'm a little over it at this point.

A few scenes that stay with me in movies are the first few scenes with Zelda in Pet Semetary, which I find absolutely frightening, and I still get nervous when I'm in the dark and I look at a closet, because I expect her to jump out at me cackling with that insane laugh, haha.

Another scene is when Regan first shows her possession in The Exorcist, mainly the scene when she flips her head back to reveal blank white eyes, and that lump is coming out of her neck, and her voice really changes. It was a rollercoaster from that point on.

I was about 12 years old when I saw both these movies, and they scared the crap out me.

Pet Sematary really freaks me out. The scene that gets me is when the Achilles tendon gets slashed by Gage from under the bed with a scalpal. Just awful but very compelling.
