Guy talk time...do you sometimes start a huge project by yourself and wonder halfway through it 'what the hell was i thinking!?!'

About four years ago i built a garden wall and large firepit in my old yard in Yonkers...55 40 lb sacks of cement and mortar (hand mixed with a shovel in my old wheel barrow because i am a masochist evidentally) and about 600 large fieldstones that i scrounged around town and down at the tracks were required

Damn project almost killed me
When i sold the house and moved the guy buying it said my massive firepit was a big deal-maker...i will always remember that undertaking fondly but i wont try it again!

I feel for the guy...blood and sweat go into a good build

To just sell the things we make is really hard

I will share this Amigo because you are a gent...i was only too happy to live and die in the city Yonkers and be buried there...i will never forget Yonkers...

But the schools in Yonkers stink and the city is corrupt and my wife wanted out...she wanted something better for the family
I have never been great at arguing with my wife...she was probably right on this one so we bought something nice an hour North...

I never tell my wife but i drive through the old neighborhood and go by our cute little block every so often on my way home from the city after work

Yonkers, it stays in your veins...no fighting it

Some guys have a wife and a mistress...i have a wife and The City of Yonkers
I cannot explain my love for Yonkers...it is dirty and dishonest and clannish...you cant walk ten feet without being hassled by some jerk
But its beautiful and i doubt i will be buried there but i would not mind it
