I have a question for anyone who has seen "The Bride Wore Black".

A friend of mine let me borrow his copy and GASP! It's an English dub. I refuse to even entertain the thought of watching it in this manor. But I've seen some stuff on Youtube and all the trailers and clips I've seen are in English. Is this one of those movies where they filmed it in another language and dubbed the voice over like those spaghetti westerns? I'm fluent in both English and French but I refuse to watch overdubs in movies.

reply

It was filmed in French
You might track down an original French copy but that might be costly
As an Italian horror/giallo/Polizio fan ive just had to get used to the stupid dubbing...best wishes on your hunt though

reply

With Giallo the dubbing frequently comes with the territory.

reply

That's what I was thinking about this. I know it's French, I can read their lips, but the dubbing on the version my friend gave me and all the clips I've seen on Youtube are overdubbed in English. I refuse to watch it in English if there's a French version out there.

This is the French version with Russian subs:

Thanks. Now that I know it exists, I'll scour the internet for a good quality one win no Russian subs.

reply

Good luck. I'm sure there's a torrent out there.

Thanks. I just found one from a storage site. I just saved myself an hour and 45 minutes of bad ventriloquism.

Enjoy!👍
