Niagara Falls

I got up yesterday to do my regular Saturday chores and then Mrs How tells me she booked a room at the Niagara Falls hotel and casino. So off we went and then today we were joined by my our and his new girlfriend. We did a bunch of tourist stuff including a boat ride to the falls. Had a nice brunch and visited an aviary.

Now I am back to the heat and humidity of Toronto.

I can confirm that Niagara Falls is being taken over by Western New Yorkers and the Japanese.

The boy is in love.

Niagara Falls! Ahhhhh, yes! When my parents, my younger sister and I traveled across country and back via car in the summer of 1968, Niagara Falls was our last stop before we completed our trip. Niagara Falls was beautiful to behold.

What do you remember, fellow? Seriously, I'd like to hear it, if you don't mind sharing. Doesn't have to be polished. Just a read out so I can picture it. Please.

Hi, Culburn. I'd like to start out by saying that I'm a woman.

I remember Niagara Falls as being beautifully spectacular, with the water constantly moving, and seeing the huge amounts of Niagara falls water loudly drop over the rocks, and splash to the rocky ground below. There was lots of mist, as well. It was a beautiful scene to behold.

I first went with my family in '63. The bells were still working then and they sounded fantastic. You could park right there on the curb then. You get out of the car, walk 15 feet and you're at the railing. It is indeed fantastic.

I even went once by myself! "I'm not going again, Cully. No." The wife. So, I went myself and had a grand time.

Thank you, for sharing, mp.

Mo matter how many times I have been there I am still fascinated by the falls. The water never stops flowing/the mist/the rumble.

The photographs remind me of how fascinating Niagara Falls were. It's too bad that they were stopped from flowing back in 1969.
