The cancellation of Roseanne. I used to love that show, but I haven't watched it since its revival. It's not some huge secret that she's been a crazy person for some time, but I didn't think ABC would have the balls to take her down a peg if it meant tossing out their ratings giant. I was wrong. Rather shocking I say.

I've also heard that certain Network's are going to stop airing re-runs. This is wrong. Again, hurting everyone for the actions of one. I'm sure some of them rely on those royalty checks....
For sure, but they should take this as an opportunity to move forward and stop relying on their past achievements. Having a revival show doesn't exactly give you motivation to make new and interesting work. The youngest members will undoubtedly be taken care of by ABC. There's always spot for kids in pilots and other stuff. Gilbert has other things, certainly Goodman and Metcalf don't need it. Fishman is probably the one who is most screwed; he's not a kid and hasn't been acting for forever. Maybe ABC will throw him a bone. It's too bad but it will be okay. There will always be great seasons of the show that aren't going anywhere. Maybe you can't watch them as easily, but they are part of the fabric of TV history.

The show likely folded because people were leaving in response to the tweet. Wanda Sykes was the first, she was a producer, but others were doing the same.

3 hours is a pretty long time for one decision to be made.
There were quite a few people quitting because of the tweet, at least two of them were joining the "walk-out" when they were told that they couldn't quit because the show was already cancelled, the public announcement just hadn't gone out yet. Some quit ahead of the cancellation, some weren't able to.
That demonstrates the cancellation happened WHILE people were quitting the show. That's pretty good evidence that the "walk-out" was part of the ultimate decision.
They lost a producer and they were losing talent... The show collapsed. You could argue that cancellation was the only option at that point.

I actually enjoyed listening to his biased, unhinged ravings. He's quite entertaining, but more so when he's doing sports. He's a very good sports commentator, but he's also a mean, vulgar and bigoted asshole.
