LGBTQ heroes, superheroes

Did anyone ask why all main hero characters seem to be outside this group? That's simply not a reality of all kinds of people living on this planet, when they are presented, it is usually only as part of some huge drama concerning their differences, why not put them out there among other characters as something part of reality ithout treating it as something special? know LGBTQ are only a small percent of the population but to never be portrayed other than some oddity is unrealistic. I loved introduction of homosexuality in Alexander (revisited) by Oliver Sone though, which was kind of just thrown in there, without being something essential, and that was nice though. Anyone else know any oher film that presents them in a way that doesn't make their difference as a main focal point?

How do you know there is no LGBTQ characters who are superheroes?

Can you tell what someone from those communities looks like or something?

Batman is clearly closeted... Wonder Woman is bi... And they are two of the bigger heroes...

Well we can imagine, but really none of them are portrayed openly as such, my point is to present it on screen, but only just as part of their character development, not making a big deal out of it. When we watch films we take so many things about characters for granted, almost predictable things, I love when something not usual is presented on film and it's done very subtly, just a small mention and it's gone, without making the whole freaking film just about it. The trick is that watching films like that helps these people feel like being more included in the society, without feeling and being seen like outsiders.

I don't think that sentiment still exists Starman.

By all means have it in there, as subtly or as strongly as seen fit but I can't think many would be shocked or feel more included in society by it.

Joker in the Lego Batman Movie is obviously obsessed to have "more than friend" special relationship with Batman.
