I'm thinking of a number from.......

1 to 50

reply

42 is the answer.

reply

OK, might as well give you the answer since ya'll don't have your thinking caps on,
not exactly the answer but I will give you the clues

SW = Snow White
WD = Walt Disney
BP = Brad Pitt
MF = Morgan Freeman
The Jets Suck

reply

7

reply

jpollock73, you got it,
so tell me, which clue did it, was it Walt Disney's snow white and the "7" dwarfs,
Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman in their movie "7"
or the "Jets suck" that had to go to "7" games?

reply

"Jets suck". LOL

reply

yeah, captain bucky and howno weretalking about how the jets suck and it has to go to "7" games because it's a "7" game series, and bla bla bla, I was laughing and trying to give them a hint, but hockey fans are not the brightest on the planet.

reply

Jets win in seven. Some of us are more than bright. Your guessing game was asinine.

reply

Yes
His game was useless and stupid

To our credit we gave him a chance to be witty or fun

The witty and fun never arrived

Collective 'yawn'

reply

I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out

reply

Well now things are getting interesting!
Who was playing?
Who was fighting??
These questions deserve answers...

reply

not sure, I think it was Joe Lewis fighting Bobby Orr

reply

Sorry i missed it but some guy kept bugging me to guess a number
Some people, huh!?

reply

Bobby Orr wasn't much of a fighter

reply

neither was Joe Lewis

reply

Joe Louis by the way

from a not too bright hockey fan

reply

The Dean...a rather bright and humble man

reply

Joe Lewis was a local boxer that was 2 and 8 which is why I said "neither was Joe Lewis" Joe Louis was the greatest, nobody in the world would say Joe Louis was never much of a fighter, you hockey fans have to use your head for something other than a hat rack.

reply

Maybe a better guessing would be - Anyone ever heard of Joe Lewis ??

reply

actually went by the name of Joey Lewis, never went pro so nobody would know him, we would go watch our buddy "T" another local amature boxer, he was (I think) 8 and 1 before he went pro, Joey was on the card, at the bottom, lol, right after "T" went pro he broke his ankle, too bad, he was a pretty good boxer, it took him almost a year to get back in the ring but he wasn't the same boxer.

reply

whatever

reply

Seems rather random for anyone to just guess?

reply

intriguing in the mind of the OP

reply

why? I gave clues

reply

Well the list is a random collection of letters. It probably doesn't seem random to you because you knew the answer !
Brad Pitt has been in tons of films so that could have meant any number of things.
I have literally no idea who the Jets are much less why they suck !

reply

you would make a lousy detective, two ignorant posters decided to hijack my thread about numbers and talk about hockey, I didn't mind that because they were talking about the Jets (that suck, their words) had to go "7" games to win it, and the other one yes, "7" games that's why it's a "7" game series, so I kept referring to the Jets that suck, hoping someone would make the connection of the number "7" which is the number I was thinking of,
But ZING...... it went right over everybody's head,
look it up, it's all in there, I'm not making this up,

reply

I probably would make a lousy detective. Cheers.
I ignore just about any talk on here about sports because it's a subject that doesn't interest me on any level. Even if it did I still wouldn't think that the random derailment of your thread by two posters talking about hockey was in any way a "clue" to you puzzle.
Unless of course you asked them to do it and it was deliberate?

I doubt it though.

reply

ZING.... right over your head, I quit

reply

thankfully

reply

thanks to you hownos, I changed my mind, I'm thinking of a number from
1 to 3, this should be easier than the last one. go ahead, make my day, I mean give it a try.

reply

I had four hours of bliss.

reply

I am so proud of you hownos, you can actually count,

reply

Hmm I'm starting to think that the problem here is not the people who failed to mind read but the sorry excuse for a riddle that you presented.
Either way there's nothing else to be wrung from your thread. It's dry as a bone.

reply

Dazed, I bet you flunked biology, if you stayed in class you would know that bones contain water,
I'm sorry, sometimes I forget who's on this board.
