Assault on Precinct 13

"Memoirs of an Invisible Man" is very underrated.... But my true answer is The Thing.

Memoirs of an Invisible Man, that's one John Carpenter film I had never heard of before!

Starring Chevy Chase! It's way better than Hollow Man with Kevin Bacon.

I always loved that scene where the severed head sprouts those spider-like legs. It's just so satisfying to watch in a twisted way!

A fantastic scene from a fantastic film! 10/10.

I'd have to agree with most folks here. Halloween is great.
I do have to say that I like Christine. I know that it isn't a favorite with everyone.
As a Stephen King fan, I like it! It's not as great as the book, but not many film adaptations are as great. I thought Christine was pretty good though!

Christine was the first John Carpenter film that I watched. I absolutely loved it growing up! I own a model of that '58 Plymouth Fury.

That was one bad ass car!
Did anyone ever mention it in that one thread about cars in movies? Somehow, I think Christine was overlooked.

MY favorite was "The Fog"
One of the things I loved was his distinctive soundtracks. A simple yet driving force to his movies.
I couldnt stand what they did to the remake of The Fog.
When you look at the original, you understand the brilliance of how it was written.

I also loved Christine, although it was really Steven King's plot. Carpenter was the perfect choice to bring it to the screen. Of course it contained the same Brilliant Carpenter soundtrack that helped make the movie special.

The Thing.

Halloween has a great creepy atmosphere and all but I'm just not that big a fan of Michael and can't put my finger on why.

Runners up.

Big Trouble in Little China
The Fog
Prince of Darkness

Guilty pleasure
