I like vegetables

Very much, however I don't have any good ideas how to prepare them, and consequently I get lazy and go out too much. I'd like to make a bunch of veggies for myself. I love broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus, and sugar snap peas especially. Also I had a delicious fried artichoke thing at a restaurant the other day. Can you movie chatters give me any good veggie recipes?

Asparagus is great sauteed in a little olive oil with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Cut up some potatoes, broccoli, brussell sprouts and whatever else you like, lightly toss in oil and season with whatever and roast on 425 degrees.

I also like steaming veggies. This is probably the most healthy way. Do you have a grill? Veggies taste great when they get a little char on them. I grill all the time during the warmer months. There's really a million ways to cook them. It all depends on your preference.

Oh, another interesting vegetable is spaghetti squash. Super easy to make. Stick the whole thing in the oven on 375 degrees for between 40-60 minutes depending on size, cut in half, scoop out guts and enjoy. Great pasta alternative!

Padeen, Grilled is my fave way to go too. I love grilled peppers!

I wish I had a grill, I can do about anything else, I have a steamer in the roof of my rice cooker. This all sounds delicious thanks!

A bamboo steamer is a great way to cook with zero preparation required for many vegetables.

Stir fry is also a quick way to make veggies into tasty meals.

Asparagus I'll wrap in parma ham and filo before grilling. Very tasty and easy to make.

reply

I like that parma ham and filo asparagus dealio, sounds good

reply

Oh it is simple and divine with it, just wrap the parma ham around the asparagus and then do the same with the filo and give it three minutes each side under a decent grill.

Taste, texture and quite sophisticated in a simple way too Pete.

reply

That sounds delicious, I'm on it

Garden Salads. i like lettuce, spinach, cherry tomatoes, fresh peas, shredded carrots all tossed with a vinaigrette dressing..... or any dressing you like.

reply

I definitely like a good salad, I'm going to try to eat more veggies, I feel good when I eat vegetables

Phytonutrients are good for you body! Kale is kinda jumping into the deep end, so I'd suggest Swiss Chard for a green if you've never had it.

reply

Depends on what veggies are available in your country

reply

I live in the US, we can get a lot of stuff here, except justice.

reply

Tell me about it....anyway do you like veggie soups?

reply

I'm sure I do, I'm looking for recipes, I don't have a lot of cooking experience but I can follow directions.

reply

The carrot has mystery. Flowers are essentially tarts. Prostitutes for the bees. There is a certain je ne sais quoi - oh, so very special - about a firm, young carrot.

reply

I've never loved carrots as much as green stuff, but a good recipe can make me love anything

reply

Do you grow?

reply

Ha ha! Quite so uncle Monty!

reply

I don’t like them as people.

reply

I like a lot of veggies, especially asparagus. Tonight I'm going to boil a small amount of brussel sprouts, cauliflower, carrots and then put them in a blender with chicken broth and serve.

reply

That sounds good, is it pasty? Served in a bowl like a soup? Or do you just sling it back from a glass?

reply

Warm it, and then put it in a bowl and eat like soup.

I love vegetables and fruit.
