Very much, however I don't have any good ideas how to prepare them, and consequently I get lazy and go out too much. I'd like to make a bunch of veggies for myself. I love broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus, and sugar snap peas especially. Also I had a delicious fried artichoke thing at a restaurant the other day. Can you movie chatters give me any good veggie recipes?
Asparagus is great sauteed in a little olive oil with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Cut up some potatoes, broccoli, brussell sprouts and whatever else you like, lightly toss in oil and season with whatever and roast on 425 degrees.
I also like steaming veggies. This is probably the most healthy way. Do you have a grill? Veggies taste great when they get a little char on them. I grill all the time during the warmer months. There's really a million ways to cook them. It all depends on your preference.
Oh, another interesting vegetable is spaghetti squash. Super easy to make. Stick the whole thing in the oven on 375 degrees for between 40-60 minutes depending on size, cut in half, scoop out guts and enjoy. Great pasta alternative!
Oh it is simple and divine with it, just wrap the parma ham around the asparagus and then do the same with the filo and give it three minutes each side under a decent grill.
Taste, texture and quite sophisticated in a simple way too Pete.
Garden Salads. i like lettuce, spinach, cherry tomatoes, fresh peas, shredded carrots all tossed with a vinaigrette dressing..... or any dressing you like.
The carrot has mystery. Flowers are essentially tarts. Prostitutes for the bees. There is a certain je ne sais quoi - oh, so very special - about a firm, young carrot.
I like a lot of veggies, especially asparagus. Tonight I'm going to boil a small amount of brussel sprouts, cauliflower, carrots and then put them in a blender with chicken broth and serve.
