That one friend who loves to spoil
Do we all have one? I have a friend who it seems like she takes pleasure in giving me movie spoilers, she knows I don't want them, and even when it seems like she's trying, she can't help it. Drives me batty

shareIt's never bothered me to know. The machination & presentation of quality materiel is where it succeeds or fails.
shareFor me simply seeing a line in a trailer or hearing a little taste makes it slightly less effective when I see it in full. Surprise certainly plays a part with certain narratives, but I do get what you're saying
shareI agree. I avoid trailers for any movie that I know I want to see.
shareMy ongoing policy is "No preconceived notions." It exponentially increases enjoyment if I know literally nothing about it. A little cast info and director knowledge is as much as I want, and maybe a vague conception of plot if necessary, but it almost never is.
shareI do not have a friend like that
I dont like spoilers and would make myself clear to the 'spoily one' the first time it happened
If he or she persisted in doing this i would drop them as i find that passive aggressive behavior to be wildy discourteous
I have accidentally spoiled something before for a pal who got really pissed at me...so im pretty well aware of how to avoid that
Pretty hard to drop some people, she's great in many other ways. It has been made very clear believe me, she just has absolutely no self control. It my biggest problem with her, but she's too good and too old of a friend to be droppable.
