Should alcohol be banned?

No. I'm not much of a believer in banning anything actually. People should have the freedom to make their own choices.
Btw, they tried that in the U.S. in the 20s, and it was a disaster. It made lots of criminals rich, and a lot of people ended up dead. The best example if the Valentine's Day Massacre in Chicago, the murder capital of the U.S.

Yes, and users harshly punished. 'Subject to mandatory random testing. Possession, use, intent to distribute, production, throw the book at 'em.
Hey, somebody's got to keep the private prison industrial complex afloat once prohibition of the totally benign and much maligned marijuana is justly lifted. 'Can't have a few officers over at the totally angelic and well-meaning DEA lose a few jobs! Use of a widespread and actually harmful substance sounds like just the ticket to me.
They tried that once
shareNo, but if you have to ban something, ban the establishments (bars, etc) that serve the drug. People drink and drive and kill people. 4/5 violent crimes are also under the influence of alcohol.
