Jurassic World was really disappointing

I honestly don't think there's been a good sequel.

I stopped watching after the first film. Sequels tend to just rehash the original material, and worse yet, end up as parodies of the original. So I generally don't watch sequels.

The one outstanding exception to this rule is Godfather and Godfather 2, the only case of a film and its sequel both winning a Best Picture Oscar.

Agreed, along with Terminator and T2 and Alien/Aliens. Those two brought something new to the concept of the original.

A couple years late on that mate.

The CGI really ruined it. Also, while I feel it was attempting the same tone as the first, I felt that it lost the mark. And no one seems to speak Spanish or have a Costa Rican accent in Costa Rica.

It doesn't need a sequel. Watching a sequel is like eating leftovers.

All the sequels have been subpar but this is the first one I was rooting for the dinosaurs in.

I liked it. Not as good as the original, but then rarely do sequels measure up.

The book was better, but I still liked JW.

reply

Same. I would even consider it better than the last two Jurassic Park movies.

reply

Well, it seems I mixed up the sequels, and thought we were talking about The Lost World.

This one I haven't seen, but just watched the trailer and it looked entertaining enough. Last one I saw was Jurassic Park III, and I even liked that one! Not great or anything, but watchable. The main problem with JP3 was the acting on the part of the couple.
