My job is pretty close to where the film was shot...the neighborhood has been sort of cleaned up since then...its no longer totally burned down
We could follow the dramatic story of the NYPD fighting crimes, neighborhood families trying to just get by, junkies and working girls out on the streets...there is room here for dozens of great characters ( like The Wire but set in the boogie down BX )
Eventually, we get to say, season 4 when the area gets gentrified and its all micro-breweries and hand made bong shops and whitey is moving back in for the architecture and the low rents...there WILL have to be a 'very special episode' about a bunch of white residents demanding a dog park and how the local Baptist church needs the park for their fund raising concerts...
The show will deal with issues such as race, sexuality, addiction and city politics in a very mature manner

That guy pretty much killed everybody and it would probably be just him apologizing to his whole family for all of those kidnappings in every ep...seems like a ratings stinker to me
