It is rated as a 7 on IMDb...I would probably give it a 6...marginally over rated by my estimation 😯
Would support adequately rated as I try to give a point in either direction to account for differing tastes...under rated? Can't help you there...sorry.

I don't get all the hate for that movie. I thought it was great. 7/10 sounds like a fair score. Now, about Alien: Covenant, that was a mess.

Yeah Covenant sucked. Scott caved under the disappointment with Prometheus and made another empty Alien movie. We didn't get the sequel we were promised.

I agree. Stop the movie when the crew wakes up and cut to the credits and it'll be a much more fulfilling film.

I did enjoy the film, but I do understand a lot of the hate the film generated. I do agree that it could've been a lot better without some regrettable editing/directing decisions. My biggest problem with the film was the rather moronic alien snake scene. I don't have any big issues with the ending. Execute that snake scene better and it could've been a much better film, IMO. When I watch the film, I just kind of pretend the biologist isn't such a total dipshit, and it becomes a lot better. 'Shame, really.

I agree, I skip that scene. I also hate the scene where the geologist comes back as a zombie, that was just retarded.
