The Twilight Zone Marathon only confirms what we all know
that "TZ" has yet to be bested.
shareVery true. It's so good! I caught a lot of "new to me" episodes this time around.
shareSeason 4 had some bad episodes, but its still good.
share"There's the signpost, up ahead! Your next stop
is . . . The Twilight Zone!"
De, de, dee, de, de, de, de de . . . .
TV shows don't even HAVE any openings any more. Rod Serling's Twilight Zone, even with all of its flaws, is to contemporary broadcast TV (and I stress broadcast TV, because, today, The Twilight Zone would be on premium cable, beside Westworld) what a tuxedo suit is to a t-shirt.
No show is perfect. And "TZ" certainly has stinkers (I'm looking at you "The Fever"). But, at its best, it continues to be the best.
shareDear Lord! I hope you know that we don't disagree! TTZ was GROUNDBREAKING network TV. It would be premium cable TV today, not on a broadcast network, by which I
mean anything that you can get over a pair of rabbit ears. Rod Serling was a genius.
Amen, angular!
