Does the ending of La La Land leave anyone else sobbing?

For this very reason i cannot get enough of this film... Specifically the scene where the 2 sit down and a video plays of 'what wouldve happened' if mia and seb had stayed together made me break down in tears :( i know that this movie is about the 2 following their dreams and the ending is in a sense a happy one, but i cant help but wish they'd have somehow stayed together. I watched this movie for the 3rd time just now and i was hoping for some other opinions, thanks.

I'm picturing one of those stores where they sell television sets to different people. Some hoodlums walk in, rough-and-tumble types, and they see that the biggest television with the best sound is playing La La Land on repeat. Tired from their street adventures, they settle in on a sectional sofa conveniently located near the big screen...

Against store policy, they take bags of candy and pop bottles out of their backpacks and begin eating and drinking right in the store!

No one who sees this dares to interrupt them. After two and a half runs they're still there, sobbing and crying. Other customers are in tears seeing this, watching them console each other.

It's time for the store to close. A police officer patrolling the parking lot gives them a ride and drops them off at the corner in their neighborhood. Behind his rough exterior, the officer is touched by the supportiveness. As he drives away and waves goodnight, a tear falls to his lip.

Probably, but I was definitely not one of them. A vastly overrated film IMHO.

When i first saw the film, I thought it would have a happy ending

didn't cry. i liked the film when i saw it in the theatres, but i found it had no real emotional kick for me, and it fell out of my head about as quickly as it entered.

however, i may or may not have sobbed quietly at the end of paddington 2 each of the three times i saw it at the cinema.
