Louis CK was never funny
very cynical talentless man. why did he even become famous.
shareNeither was Carol Burnett ... but that didn't stop her from making millions. The entertainment world is full of Cks -- though I've laughed on occasion at his standup work. Burnett's work, on the other hand, has yet to get met to even crack a smile.
shareI agree with you on Carol Burnett, but my Mom loved her. I'd add Lucille Ball to that, but occasionally Lucy was hilarious.
Louie ... I don't know what to think about. I have found him very funny, but also kind of sick. It is like as he is standing up doing his thing, he has in the back of his mind how creepy he is. What I wonder is did he get there on his own, or did he just buy material from others?
In any case, being funny or even lovable is not a get out of jail free card, or a pass on being a loutish boor. Though I have found Louis funny, I have to say I don't like him. I have found at work in life, etc, there are people who are really good at making jokes or insulting people ... and somehow because they can do that aggressively, the rest of us defer to them and raise them up.
I hope these charges and this discussion actually does something to change things, or at least deepen the discussion.
"If Louis CK is not funny, then Louis CK is not funny! Ok? LOUIS CK is NOT FUNNY!!!!!! "
That's Louis CK trying to be funny about the fact that he's not funny, in his inimitably unfunny fashion.
"Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha."
And that is his fans laughing, because it must be really funny, clever and true if he shouted it three times.
Because the standards are so low..... If people saw Mort Sahl, or even Bill Hicks, they might enjoy comedy more. George Carlin, too... Dick Gregory, who just left us.
Bill Burr is pretty good. He's not TOTALLY feminized yet.
People will begin to hate anyone accused...
shareThank you!!
I never "got" the whole Louis CK thing. Bad mediocre at best.
I agree completely. He was never funny, and impressed me as an arrogant libtard ass!
