Do you believe...

...in the rehabilitation of the ex - con.I mean after is released from prison,he's going to be a respected member of the society?...in my opinion...no.A good example is this after he was released from prison for raping a 13 years old girl,a...bastard do it again.A wolf remain a wolf no matter he'll change his skin.

I think a lot of times when people are seen as criminals for the rest of their lives, they can get sick of being treated like this and then re-offend. That example you used was extreme. I think people can genuinely change, but people should also not judge and give them a fair go of it when they do come out of prison.
A lot of people in prisons are addicts or have mental health issues. They can resolve these issues with therapy and/or meds, but then still be seen as only a criminal when they get out. This makes it hard, I would think, to lead a productive life. Not that it can't be done.

People go to prison for a lot of different reasons. They're not ALL repeat offenders. Some crimes are more situational...like if a parent kidnaps their child away from what they see as a bad divorce. It's unlikely they're going to do that again, after they serve time for it.

Depends on the crime. I agree that pedophiles are very prone to re-offend. But there are all kinds of crimes and sometimes what we call a 'crime' is almost arbitrary. There are people in prison for long sentences for selling pot, before it became legal here. (California) It's legal now.
I don't think they deserved long sentences to begin with but there were mandatory minimums and 3 strikes laws and stuff, as well as discriminatory enforcement.
Martha Stewart is an ex-con. is she a danger to society?

Personally, I do believe in the rehabilitation of ex-cons. People can and do change. It all depends on the individual.
