You know what? Fuck Hollywood. Fuck movies.

All they make is sequels, remakes and gay propaganda, and slavery/civil rights shit. When they aren't doing that they are competing to out do each other in how much violence and sleazy sex/drug use they can shoehorn into movie. They probably molest a lot of actors/actresses as well as children as part of the audition process. Well you know what? To hell with all that! Movies are just poor reflections of real life anyways. I say it's time to keep your minds out of the dream world and back into reality.

P.S. Quentin Tarantino is a freak and so are his fans. If you're a fan of his go fuck yourself.

Don't hold back. Say what you really mean.

BTW, I agree with much of what you say. There's also WAY too many car chases, explosions and crappy CGI.

Hollywood engineers can be blamed for propaganda. But the CGI in Pirates Of The Caribbean 3: At World's End was unmatched.

Star Wars had lots of explosions and innuendos. It's enough to make a Quaker quake.

That's the whole point! Earlier movies like the original Star Wars didn't have CGI. They have to be inventive. They had to be creative. They had to do practical effects and camera tricks, and we wondered "Wow! How did they do that?" Now we just shrug and think "Meh. CGI."

And regardless of how good CGI is, it's still just CGI.

There most certainly was CGI (not Common Gateway Interface, but Computer Generated Imagery) in A New Hope (1977).

Among other things, the visual displays that the rebels viewed in preparation for the Death Star attack were Images Generated by Computer.

Check out the number of people in the credits for the computer generated visuals.

The technology is much older than the name. The Internet is one name for connecting remote computers over communications lines. The other is the Arpanet, which was successfully used the same year that all those fancy computer processed calculations successfully landed a Person on the Moon.

I agree, Renovatio. Well said. Thanks.

I agree too. I love movies. There's always been bad movies. Be more discerning and support the movies you want to see more of.

I'm glad to see that you and lots of other people also love movies. There always have been bad movies, but there seem to be more and more bad movies nowadays.

My way of being more discerning and supporting the movies I do wish to see more of is attending screenings of these particular movies when screenings of such movies come to my area, or even within reasonable enough distance so that a road-trip to see my all time favorite film is possible. I occasionally email, or even call the few independent, non-profit repertory movie theatres in my area to suggest/request films that I'd like to see more of. Thank you for your suggestion, Drmccormack.

What you're saying is quite true of many, if not most of the new movies of today, TyranosaurusMex, but many of the older movies, especially those that were made prior to 1970 or so, were much better photographed, had much more of a story/plot to them, and much more style, to boot. There weren't nearly as many re-makes and/or sequels to them, either.

I've always liked films with a great deal of action to them, but the constant exploding on the screen, the overly graphic and explicit sex, and the over-computerized special affects are what bother me about many, if not most of today's movies...a lot. Moreover, very few, if any, of today's movies that are being made, have any kind of real story, style or plot to them.

Watch movies from the 1930s-70s
